2. Enhanced Flow Builder Canvas

As you open the Flow Builder Canvas, you’ll notice a fresh new look on the flow canvas. The old element icons are being replaced with modern canvas cards. These cards let you access more options with a simple click on the three dots, and you can hover over the little info ‘i’ icon to see a quick description of what each flow element has.

Keep in mind, this updated flow canvas is only available if you’re using auto-layout. If you’re still working with the manual layout, you’ll continue seeing the classic element icons.

3. Upgraded Choice Resource with SLDS Icons

You can now level up your standalone choice resources by adding Salesforce Design System icons to them.

You can use these enhanced choices in the Choice Lookup or Visual Picker components to create a smoother, more intuitive experience for users.

5. Reactive Screen Actions Became Generally Available (GA)

With the Summer ’25 release, Reactive Screen Actions in screen flows are going GA (generally available). Now, you have more control over when the action runs, like:

  • Every time the screen loads or every time except when the user clicks the Previous button (recommended)
  • Only the first time it loads

Plus, you can now set filter conditions to decide exactly when the action should run, making your flows even smarter and more efficient.

6. Size Picker in Screen Element in Screen Flow

With the new Size Picker in Flow screens, you can now preview how your screen component will look across different screen sizes. It comes with three handy options:

  • Large: Great for full-page views or big sections on a Lightning page. It is selected by default.
  • Medium: Perfect for modals, like ones launched from quick actions.
  • Small: Ideal for mobile views or utility bar components.

7. Enhanced Flow Debug Panel

The debug panel is getting a major upgrade, and you’ll now see each Flow element neatly organized into individual cards. You can also increase the width of the debug panel.

It is important to note that this enhanced debug experience isn’t available for Screen Flows for now.

8. Enhanced Send Email Action in Flow

The Send Email core action just got a major upgrade. The inputs are neatly organized into sections, making the setup way more intuitive. You can even pass Attachment IDs as a text collection now.

You no longer have to type out the Sender Type, you can also choose it from a dropdown.

9. Updated Flow Approval Process

When creating a new Flow Approval Process from the Approvals home page, you can now either start from scratch or use a Wizard that helps generate paths, stages, and decision elements.

10. Expand Search Options in Resource Picker

In the Summer ’25 release, we now have an optional beta feature for a smarter resource search experience.

You can now make it mandatory for the user to upload the file before moving to the next screen using the Screen flow.
