Dreamforce 2025 Admin Keynote Highlights

Dreamforce 2025 Admin Keynote Highlights

The Dreamforce 2025 Admin Keynote was a celebration of the people who keep Salesforce running every day, the admins. Led by Mike Ghold and the Admin Evangelism team, this year’s session focused on how admins are shaping the future of work through Agentic AI.

From a brand-new Setup experience powered by Agentforce to smarter ways to manage security and workflows, the keynote was packed with tools, inspiration, and community pride.

Here are the biggest highlights every Salesforce Admin should know from Dreamforce 2025.

1. Setup Powered by Agentforce

If there was one moment that made every admin in the room cheer, it was the reveal of the new Setup experience powered by Agentforce.

For years, admins have asked for a simpler, faster way to configure Salesforce. This release finally delivers it, with an AI-powered setup that lets you work in plain language.

You can now:

  • Create custom objects, fields, and flows just by describing them.
  • Summarize existing flows in seconds.
  • Manage users, permissions, and record access conversationally.
  • Ask for help directly in Setup.
  • Include both metadata and data in one deployment.

It’s also fully human-in-the-loop, meaning admins stay in control of every recommendation before it’s applied.

2. Approvals in Flow — A Long-Awaited Win

One of the most exciting updates in the Admin Keynote was something every Salesforce Admin has wished for, approvals built directly inside Flow.

No more jumping between old setup pages or managing separate approval processes. Now, approvals can be created, configured, and managed within Flow Builder itself.

In the demo, the team showed how easily an admin could:

  • Add an approval step to a flow.
  • Define what happens on approval or timeout.
  • Automatically update fields once an approval is complete.
  • Send reminders or notifications when approvals are pending.

This new capability brings the entire automation experience into one place, making flows both more powerful and much easier to manage as it simplifies daily work, reduces clicks, and modernizes a process that’s been around for over a decade.

3. Slack as the Agentic OS

The keynote mentioned that Slack is now the heart of the Agentic Enterprise.

Salesforce showed how Slack has evolved into an Agentic Operating System, where admins can bring together people, apps, and AI agents in one conversational space.

Through the new Agent Builder, admins can design and test agents visually, using topics, data connections, and even simulation tools to see how an agent will respond before deploying it.

Once ready, these agents can be published directly into Slack, thanks to a new feature called AutoSlack, which automatically creates Slack workspaces and connects them to Salesforce data.

Admins also don’t need to worry about security. Salesforce permissions and sharing settings apply inside Slack, too. When an agent takes action, it does so as the authenticated user, ensuring that data access stays consistent and secure.

This integration means end users can now interact with Salesforce data, trigger actions, or even approve requests, all through natural conversation in Slack. It’s collaboration made smarter, faster, and far more intuitive.

4. Meet Aloha Agent

Salesforce introduced Aloha Agent, built using the Agentforce 360 platform and powered entirely by Slack.

The demo followed the Coral Clouds Resort team as they used Aloha Agent to handle real business tasks, all within one Slack conversation.

Here’s what Aloha Agent could do:

  • Book room blocks for tour groups automatically.
  • Generate and send contracts through DocuSign.
  • Read and process spreadsheets to create guest records.
  • Capture special requests like dietary needs directly from uploaded data.
  • Order welcome gifts using connected procurement apps.
  • Visualize sales performance instantly using Tableau.

The Aloha Agent demo showcased how Agentforce and Slack, together, can replace dozens of tools with a seamless, conversational experience.

5. Slackbot – Your Personal AI Assistant (Coming January 2026)

Another exciting moment from the Dreamforce 2025 Admin Keynote was the preview of the new Slackbot, which will be available to all users in January 2026.

Unlike the traditional Slackbot we’ve known for quick replies or reminders, this new version is powered by Agentforce and designed as a personal, context-aware assistant.

It understands your conversations, your schedule, and your Salesforce data, helping you stay prepared and productive without switching apps.

In the demo, Slackbot showed how it can:

  • Check for upcoming meetings across Salesforce and Google Calendar.
  • Generate a complete meeting brief by pulling data from Slack threads, Salesforce records, and external sources.
  • Suggest next steps or even draft messages to follow up, all within seconds.

6. Security with Agentforce

Admins can now manage permissions conversationally in Setup. Instead of clicking through dozens of pages, they can simply ask, “Why can’t this user edit this record?” and Agentforce will identify the issue, recommend the right permission set, and confirm before applying changes, all while keeping the human in control.

Salesforce also reinforced its three-part security model:

  • Invisibles – the behind-the-scenes protections Salesforce handles automatically
  • Configurables – admin-managed settings like permissions and sharing
  • Enhancables – advanced tools like Shield and Security Center for deeper visibility

The big reveal was Security with Agentforce, a new capability that automates risk assessments, detects unusual activity, and surfaces high-risk settings directly in Setup.
